“Let him who is without sin cast the first stone”Directed by G.M. Manu and produced by Robins Mathew under the Ambatt Films banner, the movie stars Shine in a gritty lead role, as suggested by its intense first-look poster. The poster features Shine with a lit cigarette and carries the striking biblical tagline: “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.”
Impressive castThe film also boasts a strong ensemble cast, including Thalaivasal Vijay, Motta Rajendran, Sudheer Karamana, Manikuttan, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Boban Alumoodan, and several others. The screenplay is penned by Ajesh Antony.
Shine Tom Chacko admitted to de-addiction centreHowever, the film’s release announcement comes at a turbulent time for Shine Tom Chacko. The actor has recently been admitted to a de-addiction centre following allegations of drug use by his ‘Soothravakyam’ co-star Vincy Aloshious. Vincy filed a complaint with the Kerala Film Chamber, leading to Shine's arrest and subsequent confession during police questioning.
As reported by Mathrubhumi, Shine Tom Chacko is currently undergoing treatment under the Kerala government’s Vimukthi de-addiction program, supervised by the Excise Department.
Though no formal police complaint was filed by Vincy, the Excise Department acted on the complaint, leading to Shine’s arrest and release on bail. He was also recently questioned in the ongoing hybrid ganja case, along with actor Sreenath Bhasi. Directors Khalid Rahman and Ashraf Hamza were also arrested recently for similar charges.
On the work front, Shine Tom Chacko was last seen in the Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer ‘Daaku Maharaaj’ which received good reviews even from the Malayali audiences after the OTT release. The actor will be next seen in the film 'Soothravaakyam'.
