The incident occurred at around 4.30 am in village Pandori Gola, according to police.
The dwelling's structure was in a severely deteriorated state. The accumulated debris atop the roof's surface contributed substantial weight, ultimately causing its collapse.

Chandigarh Sector 17 building collapses days after being declared unsafe
Just 10 days after being declared unsafe for occupancy, a three-bay building in Chandigarh’s key commercial hub, Sector 17, collapsed on January 6. The structure (SCO 183-185) had been evacuated and sealed off on December 27 after authorities deemed it unsafe.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported, as the premises had already been cordoned off following the discovery of cracks in three load-bearing pillars. Officials linked the collapse to recent renovation work that had weakened the columns and altered the basement's internal structures.
The building had been unoccupied for a prolonged period before renovation work began in November. Structural damage emerged soon after, leading to the declaration of the building as unsafe on December 27, following reports of loud noises and cracks in the pillars.
