Just days ahead of Imola GP, Ferrari has been labelled the ‘most disappointing team’ in F1 2025 assessment

Ferrari's 2025 season is falling short of expectations, with Jolyon Palmer branding them the 'most disappointing team' despite a strong 2024 finish and Lewis Hamilton's arrival. Hamilton's sprint win in China and Leclerc's podium in Saudi Arabia are rare highlights, as rear instability plagues the SF-24, hindering Hamilton's driving style.

Right before the prancing horse arrives at its home race in Imola, Ferrari was branded the ‘most disappointing team’ in a damning F1 assessment by British former racing driver Jolyon Palmer. Having only scored 94 points in the first six races of the season, the Red Devils have since dropped on the Constructors’ Championship to a distant fourth- despite being heralded as a title contender in pre-season testing. The Italian team has scored fewer points than Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris and Max Verstappen have done on their own- making their struggles evident in this season.

Scuderia Ferrari’s disappointing season assessed by Jolyon Palmer

Ferrari had finished the 2024 F1 season on a high note, placing second in the constructors and giving McLaren a hard earned victory. However, success has been few and far between for the Scuderia in 2025, with Lewis Hamilton’s sprint win in China and Charles Leclerc’s podium in Saudi Arabia being the only highlights for the legendary team so far this year.F1 analyst and former racing driver Jolyon Palmer has labelled the Scuderia ‘the most disappointing team so far’, and predicts team principal Fred Vasseur to ‘feel the heat’.
Palmer told F1.com, “In my view, Ferrari has been the most disappointing team so far, having finished 2024 so strongly. With the signing of Hamilton, this should have been a glory year for them, and we saw a glimpse of that early on in China, when Lewis was happier with the car and took the sprint win, and the team were competitive.”Palmer believes it is the snappy rear instability that is causing the seven time world champion to be out of his wits end with the SF-24, an inconsistency he was also facing in his Mercedes last year. “That trend seems to have followed him to Ferrari so far too.“He generally likes to attack the corners with high entry speed, but needs a stable rear end to do that effectively, and we saw him trying to rework his driving style in Melbourne to get more out of this car,” Palmer explained. Also Read: Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari Woes Deepen Amid Claims He’s ‘Not Enjoying’ Life With Iconic TeamThe Scuderia will head to their home race at Emilia Romagna this week, and the vibrance of the hopeful tifosi remain unmatched.
