Under garb of local resistance, the terror outfit responsible for deadly Pahalgam attack

The Resistance Front, a proxy of the Pakistan-backed Lashkar-e-Taiba, was created following the abrogation of Article 370, in 2019. Portraying itself as a local resistance movement, it operates under the guise of resisting oppression rather than engaging in outright terrorism, thereby obscuring direct Pakistani involvement

In the deadliest attack on civilians since the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai in 2008, at least 28 tourists, including one foreigner, were killed and many wounded on April 22 when terrorists opened fire in a picturesque meadow near the resort town of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to reports, The Resistance Front (TRF), which also goes by the name Kashmir Resistance, a proxy of Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI)-backed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), claimed responsibility for the massacre – the worst in J&K since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.
