Actor
Avinash Mishra, who won many hearts with his time on Bigg Boss 18 has strongly criticised Indian celebrities for not voicing support for India amid its ongoing tension with Pakistan.
Highlighting the contrast, Avinash pointed out that while Pakistani artists – many of whom gained popularity through Indian audiences – are condemning India’s anti-terror operations, Indian actors have chosen to remain quiet.
While talking about the same, he said, “Celebrities from across the border – who built their fame on Indian audiences – now calling India’s action against terrorism ‘shameful’ & ‘cowardly’ is the height of hypocrisy,” Avinash wrote, adding, “Where are our celebrities now? If you cannot speak up for your country just to protect your ‘brand’ or follower count, don’t ever pretend to represent India. Silence isn’t neutral.
It’s cowardice.”
