I’m so grateful to all of you. Goodnight.”India’s Got Latent’ controversySamay’s heartfelt note comes just weeks after his show ‘India’s Got Latent’ was caught in a huge controversy. One episode of the show caused outrage when YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia asked a contestant an extremely inappropriate question. The shocking question sparked anger across the internet and led to multiple FIRs being filed against Samay, Ranveer, and the makers of the show. The backlash was so intense that all episodes of ‘India’s Got Latent’ were taken down from YouTube. While Samay never directly mentioned the show or the controversy in his latest post, the emotional tone and his mention of ‘ghutan’ (a feeling of suffocation) seem to reflect the pressure he had been under. It’s also interesting to note that he shared a photo with Apurva Mukhija. She, too, was heavily trolled and criticised for being part of the show. After the controversy, Samay is now looking ahead and has announced his brand-new international comedy tour.
