The NFL is heading to new international territory in 2025, and Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will be front and center as he leads his team into Spain for a historic showdown.The league revealed its 2025 international schedule on Tuesday, and the highlight is a first-ever NFL game in Spain. On November 16, Tagovailoa and the Dolphins will face the Washington Commanders at the legendary Bernabeu Stadium, home of soccer powerhouse Real Madrid.

This marks Tua Tagovailoa’s second career overseas game. The former Alabama star previously took the field internationally on October 17, 2021, in London, where he threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns after returning from a rib injury. Despite his strong performance, the Dolphins fell 23-20 to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The NFL’s global expansion continues to gain momentum, with the 2025 season set to break new ground not only in Spain, but also in Ireland and Berlin. These additions expand on the league’s growing international footprint, which already includes regular-season games in the UK and Germany.Tagovailoa isn’t the only quarterback with Alabama roots getting the passport ready. Bo Nix, a former Auburn standout and current Denver Broncos quarterback, is slated to make his international debut on October 12 against the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.The NFL’s full 2025 international schedule includes six confirmed games:
  • Sept. 28: Minnesota Vikings vs. Pittsburgh Steelers at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland
  • Oct. 5: Minnesota Vikings vs. Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London
  • Oct. 12: Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London
  • Oct. 19: Los Angeles Rams vs. Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium, London
  • Nov. 9: Atlanta Falcons vs. Indianapolis Colts at Olympic Stadium, Berlin
  • Nov. 16: Washington Commanders vs. Miami Dolphins at Bernabeu Stadium, Madrid
Each of these matchups is scheduled to kick off at 8:30 a.m. Central and will air on NFL Network. The league has also scheduled a second game in Brazil for September 5, featuring the Los Angeles Chargers at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo.
