The UAE Women's cricket team has achieved a historic milestone, securing their first-ever ICC ODI status. This achievement, effective from May 2025, reflects their high ranking among Associate Members. Khalid Al Zarooni of the Emirates Cricket Board, lauded the team's talent and commitment.

The UAE Women's cricket team earned their first-ever ICC ODI status, as announced by the International Cricket Council for the 2025-29 cycle beginning May 12, 2025. The UAE secured their position among 16 teams with ODI status through their high T20I ranking among Associate Members, replacing the USA.Thailand and Scotland maintained their ODI status by qualifying for the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 Qualifier.Papua New Guinea and the Netherlands retained their status based on their T20I rankings.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel.
