FARIDABAD: A 49-year-old man was arrested for allegedly strangling his live-in partner and hiding her body in a bed compartment following an argument over his daughter from a previous marriage.The incident took place on April 21 in the city's Jawahar Colony area.Police said Jitendra concealed 40-year-old Sonia's body inside a bed compartment in their apartment and stayed in the room for two days. He attempted to mask the foul smell with incense sticks and fled when the odour worsened."The accused said a rat had died in his flat, which was causing the stench," Surender Singh, Jitendra's landlord said. Fearing arrest, he later locked the room and left.
